President: Alan Kay, Real Estate Developer Honorary Board
BackgroundOur board members are most notable for their long-term commitment and active contribution to Trips for Kids. Many of them have been involved with Trips For Kids from the beginning. Most notable is Marilyn Price, the Founding Director of Trips For Kids, who worked as a volunteer for the first ten years and saving Trips For Kids huge sums of money. She continues to work 70 hours a week. Gary Fisher, our most famous board member, is widely known as a mountain biking pioneer and helps attract media attention and industry support for our programs. Carsten Andersen provides advice to help Trips For Kids expand. Chauncey DiLaura, a veteran ride volunteer, provides his financial savvy, energy, and commitment to the kids. Timothy Harrington evaluates our financial status monthly and manages our funds. Attorney Richard Idell provides legal advice and Patricia Gallery, former Trips For Kids grant writer, helps with major events. Alan Kay assists in all aspects of managing the organization and directs the upkeep of the physical properties. Chuck Lesem brings over twenty years of strategic planning, finance, and information technology experience. Shaugn Stanley, is a lead advisor and a major fundraiser working on donor development. Lovester Law leverages over 25 years of sponsorship experience in support of corporate donation efforts. Julia Sze helps Trips For Kids through fund raising, community outreach, volunteering on rides and at events, and assists with financial management as needed. The role of the Honorary Board is to increase recognition of Trips For Kids on a national level and thus further the goal of starting new Trips For Kids groups. |
